Frequently Asked Questions
Keyvex precision fluids are designed to remove a wide range of contaminants encountered in aerospace manufacturing and maintenance, including machining oils, cutting fluids, greases, PFPE lubricants, silicone oils, hydraulic fluids, flux residues, particulate contamination, fingerprints, and light organic residues. Cleaning performance depends on the contaminant chemistry, component geometry, and selected Keyvex grade.
Yes. Selected Keyvex products are engineered specifically for vapor degreasing applications, providing rapid evaporation, efficient contaminant removal, and minimal residue. Their physical properties support stable operation in modern vapor degreasing equipment while helping reduce solvent consumption through effective condensation and recovery.
Low surface tension enables the fluid to wet surfaces rapidly and penetrate microscopic crevices, narrow channels, and complex internal geometries. This improves contaminant displacement and rinsing efficiency while reducing trapped air pockets that can limit cleaning effectiveness.
Certain Keyvex grades may be suitable for cleaning oxygen-service components because they evaporate cleanly and leave minimal residue. However, suitability depends on the applicable oxygen-cleanliness specification, validation requirements, and customer process qualification. Users should verify compatibility with their cleaning standards before implementation.
